Dust-A-Side Bio is a bio-based bituminous emulsion designed to control dust on haul roads, resulting in reduced gravel loss, improved dust levels, and reduced road maintenance. Environmentally friendly and biodegradable, Dust-A-Side Bio yields good results on a variety of wearing courses, works well on steep ramps, offers excellent grip, reduces water usage, and remains stable even in harsh weather conditions.   

Bitumen scarcity and ever-increasing pricing, and a desire to reduce carbon footprint prompted the development of this bio-based bitumen-lignosulphonate low-carbon binder. The performance of Dust-A-Side Bio yields effective results and exceptional tack and gloss on the treated roads. The use of this product helps mines achieve reduced watering, improved visibility, and reduced dust fall out dust counts that are in line with the legislated figures, resulting in safer operations. The product has excellent spread and capillary wetting properties that allows the treated road surface to remain moist for extended periods without generating dust.
